Xylem and Waterboys Partner to Bring Clean Water to American Families in Need

Waterboys is part of the Chris Long Foundation, which puts professional athletes and sports fans on the same team in pursuit of one goal: Bringing life-sustaining drinking water to communities in need.
Water access is not just an international issue. In many low-income, rural and tribal U.S. communities, the availability of affordable, safe water is not a reality. Waterboy’s Hometown H2o focuses on providing clean water to American communities, households, and schools that lack access to this fundamental resource.
Xylem has partnered with Waterboy’s Hometown H2o program and will be providing in-kind product donations, stakeholder engagement and on-the-ground volunteer support to help American families that do not have access to water. To find out more about this partnership visit www.goulds.com/waterboys
About Waterboys: Founded in 2015 by two-time Super Bowl Champion Chris Long, Waterboys unites professional NFL and NBA athletes and fans from across the world in support of a single, shared cause: providing clean, accessible drinking water to 1 million people. By working together, players and fans can make a meaningful difference for communities in desperate need by funding sustainable clean water projects. These projects provide life-giving water and all that comes from it – including the opportunities for education, good health, and economic stability. Initially starting with projects in East Africa, Waterboys expanded its work in 2019 to also include U.S water projects. To date, Waterboys has raised over $4 million with the help of over 45 professional athletes, providing clean drinking water to more than 330,000 people as a result.
