Xylem Watermark is supporting our global partners, Americares and Mercy Corps as they provide rapid response in the hardest hit areas.

Mercy Corps is leveraging Emergency WASH funding from Xylem to distribute WASH items and repair water systems in Puerto Rico via local 'Resilience Hubs", with the aim of reaching 5,000 people.
These Resilience Hubs, which Mercy Corps founded in 2017 following Hurricane Maria, are equipped with climate-resistant infrastructure to meet basic needs during emergencies, including access to clean and reliable water, solar energy, connectivity, disaster risk reduction training, and community gardens - with an average capacity to support 2,000 individuals per community. They are also used as distribution points where communities can access and receive immediate food and non-food items, such as emergency kits, WASH items, and food items.
Americares, a health-focused relief and development organization has a local presence and experience in Puerto Rico which positions them uniquely well to support those affected by Hurricane Fiona.
Americares has launched an immediate response to deliver urgently needed medicines & relief supplies & help repair damaged health centers in the hardesthit communities with the help of funding from Xylem Watermark.
