Americares is a global health and disaster relief organization that helps people and communities around the world access health in times of disaster and every day.

For more than 45 years, we have met the health needs of our local partners and their communities across 80 countries on average, including the United States. By supporting over 4,000 health centers worldwide with transformative health projects, medicine and medical supplies, Americares improves the health of millions of people affected by poverty or disaster every year. Americares is one of the world’s leading nonprofit providers of donated medicine and medical supplies.

Across our programs, Americares prioritizes mental health and climate and disaster resilience. We provide targeted solutions supporting water sanitation and hygiene, maternal health care and capacity building. And we look for strategic linkages where we can complement local programming related to noncommunicable diseases and infectious diseases.
