Michigan Crossroad Council

Eagle, Michigan

The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Founded in 1910, Scouting America is the nation’s oldest, largest, and foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. Its objective is to help young individuals understand how to reach their full potential and become a positive influence in their communities through citizenship training, skill building, and service to others. The tenets of leadership, service, learning, and adventure are instilled year-round through the Scout Oath and Law. Supported by 10,000 volunteer leaders, the Michigan Crossroads Council, Scouting America serves more than 27,000 young men and women annually through their programs of Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Exploring, and Sea Scouting within Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas.
