Sobre esta Oportunidad benéfica

Hurricane Ian has rapidly strengthened into a strong Category 4 –just 2 mph from a Category 5—as it draws closer to landfall later today between Sarasota and Fort Myers, packing threats of life-threatening storm surge as well as catastrophic wind damage and flooding rainfall.

Red Cross has moved hundreds of trained volunteers from across the country and tens of thousands of relief supplies to Florida in preparation for Ian and is opening dozens of shelters to make sure people have a safe place to ride out the storm.

Americares is ready to respond to the impact of Hurricane Ian with medicines, relief supplies and emergency response teams. They have reached out to over 200 local health center partners serving low-income communities in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. This includes 148 local partners in Florida supported by Americares on an ongoing basis.
