Over the past several years, the scope and scale of natural disasters has increased dramatically. Americares responds to an average of 30 emergencies each year, but in fiscal year 2020, responded to 41. This includes not only natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes and wildfires, but also complex emergencies like humanitarian crises.
In any emergency response, our primary goal is to save lives and improve health for people affected by disasters, while promoting long-term recovery and disaster preparedness. By supporting the Americares Worldwide Disaster Relief Fund, donors like you can help us maintain a constant state of disaster readiness that will allow us to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies large and small around the world.
