Donate to support the distribution of educational water testing kits to underserved communities!

Since the beginning Xylem has been a founding sponsor of the EarthEcho Water Challenge. This program is one of the world’s largest civic/community science programs, empowering more than 1.6 million young people and community members in 146 countries to connect with and protect their local waterways. Participants monitor water quality in their communities, share their findings through a global online database, and use the data collected to develop action projects to protect the resources within their watershed..

In 2021 alone, the EarthEcho Water Challenge program engaged 28,937 participants who took action to monitor and protect their local water resources.

In 2022, we are launching a water quality test kit drive to make water testing kits available to more students, teachers, and community groups!

The EarthEcho Water Challenge Classroom Kit includes five sets of hardware and enough reagents to conduct up to 50 rounds of testing for pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and turbidity. Through the Water Challenge Kit Drive, Xylem employees and stakeholders can sponsor the value of a classroom kit for donation to schools or youth groups seeking to participate in the Water Challenge but lacking the funds to purchase kits. Donations in the 2022 Kit Drive will support all Xylem sponsored kits for the 2023 program year.

Donated kit recipients will utilize the materials provided to test local bodies of water and share their data on the EarthEcho Water Challenge website and EarthEcho will share the story of how these kits impacted water projection stories in communities across the world!
