In 2018, Xylem employees constructed hand pumps and deployed them in communities in Argentina that did not have access to clean drinking water. The project beneficiated 80 families with an average of 7 persons per family, for a total of approximately 560 beneficiaries.

Since Fundación Avina’s founding in 1994, more than 3 million Latin Americans have gained access to safe water through democratic governance of water resources and public-private partnerships that have bolstered community water management models.
